Superpower of Choice
In response to Daily Post Challenge:
With such a fascination for antiques it’s only natural that I would want to time travel. Viewing antiques isn’t reason enough to choose this superpower obviously so here’s the real reason: people.
I would love to observe humanity as societies evolved and technology progressed. History has always captured my imagination, from the ancient to the recent, and I’ve always wondered how much of the history books taught to us at school was fiction.
If I were able to time travel I would do so with recording instruments so I could have the facts survive the centuries, so that the truth of the time period could be conveyed accurately, so that the lessons learnt so many decades and centuries ago could be passed down effectively to modern day people.
Perhaps then we may stop repeating the catastrophic mistakes of our ancestors and finally be a civilised world that respects human life.
